Juanita Barrientos is a culinary award winning trained chef with a background in Nutritional Science from Texas A&M University. Her culinary training is from Le Cordon Bleu school in Austin TX. She has been a culinary professional in Waco since 2014. Juanita helped pioneer the health food scene in Waco by creating food that was inventive, experimental, and delicious while still maintaining the nutritional value at the core of her dishes. She was one of the first Chefs to introduce Farm to Table dinners in Waco, hosting monthly dinners at a local farm (and later her restaurant), showcasing food that was locally grown from various local farmers and artisans. Juanita was also an active vendor at Waco Downtown Farmers Market for several years before opening Harvest on 25th in 2018. Her passion for quality local food and precise attention to detail has made Chef Juanita a respectable leader in the Waco community.
